Girls Flag Football
New York Jets | 2021- 2025 | Photography/ Shooting, Creative Direction, & Programming
The New York Jets are dedicated to advancing girls' flag football, having launched the first-ever high school girls' flag football league at the varsity level in New York City in 2011, followed by a similar league in New Jersey a decade later. Their initiatives, supported by partners like Nike, Gatorade, and Visa, now encompass over 200 high school teams and thousands of athletes. The organization also hosts a variety of events, including the Girls Flag Invitational tournament, Media Day at MetLife Stadium, and the Gatorade Series, where teams compete at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center.
Since 2021, my work has been instrumental in growing and documenting these programs. I have been responsible for spearheading campaigns for docuseries launches, and leading the programming and creative direction for league media days. On an international scale, I have provided photography and coordinated media coverage for the launch of new teams and tournaments in cities like London and Dublin, helping to expand the sport's global footprint.
On a personal level, I am deeply connected to the advancement of girls and women in sports. The work I've done with the Jets' flag football program is especially meaningful given the upcoming inclusion of flag football in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. It's a testament to the sport's incredible growth and a powerful message about gender equality in athletics. I'm proud to have been a part of this movement and to have documented the journey of these athletes, including the first Nike-signed girls' flag football athlete who came up through the Jets flag program.
